DAYS AFTER their M4 World Championship campaign, Blacklist International revealed their roster for the upcoming Sibol qualifiers.
The MV3 of Edward "Edward" Jay Dapadap, Kiel "Oheb" Soriano, and Salic "Hadji" Imam will be a part of Blacklist's SEA games bid alongside two new members.
Newcomer Ian Jakob "Rindo" Seguiran will join the squad, alongside a major acquisition in Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcarse.
Prior to his arrival, rumors were rife that Renejay would join Blacklist's roster in the future. Speculation is now fact, as Nexplay also announced that the EXP laner/roamer is no longer a part of the team.
Though Renejay's arrival could open a lot of possibilities for the Codebreakers, it is still unsure if he would be a part of their roster for the MPL-PH's Season 11.
Meanwhile, the royal duo of Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario and Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna will not be a part of Blacklist's Sibol bid. Instead, they'll be saving their energy for Season 11.
However, their recent photo, featuring the royal duo might hint that the V33Wise tandem might have new reinforcements for Season 11. Rumors have been swirling around that Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog might be a part of the Codebreakers given Billy "Z4pnu" Alfonso's cryptic post.
With these recent announcements, the organization said that their "redemption story starts today. We know you’ve got our backs, agents.
"In the words of our captain, 'This still is not the last of us."
How will RENEJAY synergize with the MV3?
Sibol's National Team selection for the upcoming 2023 Southeast Asian Games will commence on January 21 to 22, 2023 with Blacklist and ECHO serving as invited teams alongside representatives from the Collegiate Center for Esports and RealMe Cup.
Given that Edward will be playing for Blacklist, RENEJAY will most likely be featured as a roamer, which was his secondary position for Nexplay. Back in Season 9, Coach John Michael "Zico" Dizon slotted RENEJAY into that role, though he reverted back to EXP laner in the following season.
RENEJAY's renowned for his sacrificial and aggressive playstyle, which could forge a different dynamic with the Codebreakers. As a roamer, he is more known for using tank based heroes, which could mean that Blacklist might go back to its Season 7 roots when Mark Jayson "ESON" Gerardo was still a part of the team.
