FIGHTING GAMES FANS from the Philippines were treated with a surprise as adult film star and fighting game fan, Rae Lil Black is headed to the REV Major this year. The announcements were made on the event's official Facebook page.
While she will appear as a special guest, other notable names will also attend this year's event. In the competitive scene, the likes of Cloud9's Yuyu, CEO 2023 2nd placer KDF CBM, and two-time REV Major champ LowHigh will show their prowess in the event.
REV Major will be held on September 30 until October 1, 2023 in the SMX Convention Center, in Metro Manila. Historically, the event has been a haven for FGC fans as pro players and fighting game enthusiasts would attend the festivities.
What else can we expect?
In this year's REV Major, Tekken 7 remains to be one of the main attractions. Besides Bandai Namco's fighting game, other titles, include the latest edition of Street Fighter, Guilty Gear: Strive, Dragonball Fighter Z, King of Fighters XV, Mortal Kombat 1, and Super Smash Bros: Ultimate.
In addition, games like Guilty Gear, Tekken, Dragonball, and King of Fighters have been included in the World Tour esports event, adding to the prestige, as international pro players would flood the country to showcase their skills.
Meanwhile, other gaming titles like SoulCalibur VI and Grandblue Fantasy Versus were given community spotlights.
