CHECK OUT this very cool key art for the upcoming PUBG Mobile Philippine National Championships, or PPNC.
Yup, that’s the Rizal Monument and Manila Cathedral in the background.

While that likely doesn’t mean that you’ll be seeing these two landmarks inside any of PUBG Mobile’s maps, it’s a strong statement of intent for the upcoming PPNC. It is being organized by the Philippine Pro Gaming League, and it will be the first time the PPGL will be holding a country-wide tournament for the very popular battle royale shooter.
Registration opened just this week. Interested crews can sign up here.
Qualifiers will begin in earnest on August 11, and will run for four days, with 32 teams duking it out per day. Winners will advance to two days of Group Stages, before the top eight teams parachute into the Grand Finals on September 2 to 3.
The event will be online only.
In between the livestreams, to be hosted at the PPGL Facebook pages, will be performances from band Ben&Ben.
A P430,000 total prize pool isn’t just on the line. The top four teams will also represent the country in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Club Open Fall Split 2020: SEA Wildcard — a regional tournament on the road to the global PUBG Mobile Club Open.
The Philippine Pro Gaming League is a multi-game esports league that is run by both Mineski Philippines and Globe Telecom.
