TODAY, PUBG Mobile will be dropping its 1.0 release — and with it, an overhaul of their classic map Erangel.
The game is calling this “New Erangel,” to tie it in with their overall “New Era” branding. So if you’ve memorized every nook and cranny of the classic map, the devs have sneaked in a few surprises.
Classic hotspots like Mylta Power and the Prison have new features and new layouts that should upend your existing strategies. The addition of seven resource-rich warehouses to the Quarry should turn this into a prime landing spot, while the central city of Pochinki has been redecorated with a more colorful vibe.
The landscape has also been peppered with more military-style fortifications, including bunchers, trenches, and sandbag walls.
The update will also feature visual upgrades, like improved lighting, textures, and water reflections.
At the recently concluded PUBG Mobile Philippine National Championship — the first-ever in the Philippines — Berserker took the top spot with two chicken dinners along with 76 kill points and 138 placement points. The team will represent the country at the PMCO Fall Split 2020: SEA Wildcard on September 12, along with the rest of the top four: Blacklist International, Almost Evil Adrastos, and All-Star Team Puyat.
