Despite early Indonesia rally, PH remains merciless in Game 4 of Fiba Esports Open

Philippine squad still unbeaten in Day 2 of the NBA 2K tournament
Jun 20, 2020

NO mercy was E-Gilas Pilipinas as it continued its mastery of Indonesia, 79-44, in the 2020 Fiba Esports Open on Saturday.

Rial "Rial" Polog Jr. sustained his hot streak from Game 3, going off for 28 points on a 6-of-7 shooting from deep in another near-perfect performance to give the Philippines a 4-0 lead in the five-game series.

Aljon "Shintarou" Cruzin also flexed his wizardry anew with 17 points and six assists, as Clark "Clark" Banzon added 15 for E-Gilas.

The Filipinos wasted no time jumping to a 15-0 headstart early on, but a furious Indonesia rally cut the lead to just one, 15-14, to start the second quarter.

That's when the Filipinos went to work, using a 14-4 salvo to break the game wide open, 29-19, in the second period to finally wiggle away from the Indonesians.

It was all E-Gilas from there, with Polog firing in all cylinders from deep and Cruzin slashing his way to the paint to score the 35-point rout.
