IT WAS a battle between two directly invited teams and bastions of the Philippine CrossFire scene during the Sibol qualifiers. A tightly fought match was certainly expected between these two titans.
Unfortunately it ended as a one-sided affair as Pacific Macta schooled their rivals, Execration, in a lopsided 3-0 sweep. Their dominance over their local rivals has officially made them the CrossFire representatives for the Sibol national team in the upcoming SEA Games.
The first two games of the series saw Pacific carve out a huge gap against their rivals, with a 10-5 score in Game 1 and a 10-3 stomp in Game 2. Despite Execration’s desperate push in the final game to keep the score close, they ended up losing 10-7.
An Aldrin and Revenge show for Pacific Macta
Though each member from Pacific Macta played their part in the team’s victory, two players made crucial plays to secure their team’s victory. Aldrin “Aldrin” Paul Borabon became the star of the show as his frag assaults led to Pacific’s domination.
He even boasted 22 frags unleashed in one map, creating space for his teammates to engage.
Meanwhile his partner-in-crime, Amores “Revenge” Christian, secured crucial kills to eliminate key threats from their foes. His mastery of the AWM weapon was too much for Execration to handle.
Three years in the waiting
During the post-match interview, the entire team couldn't contain their excitement as the official CrossFire reps to the biennial meet. They admitted that they had desperately waited for three years to finally showcase their prowess... and during those long years, they were already gunning for Execration.
Eight hours a day of practice led to this victorious moment for what the team said was a more determined, disciplined Pacific Macta.
