The lovebirds have shared countless “kilig moments” that showed us how beautiful love can be when it’s with the right person. Now, they’re ready to take the next big step—marriage.
But how did they meet each other at the right place and right time?
“Nasa RRQ ako noon at may content kami na siya yung host. Tapos, ayun, nung nakita ko siya na love at first sight ako. Pagkatapos nung content na yun, hinanap ko yung Instagram niya, tapos nakita ko na naka-follow na pala siya sa akin,” Brusko recalled in an exclusive with SPIN.ph, remembering the exact moment he fell in love with Uayfu.
Leaving behind Minana EVOS after MPL Philippines Season 12, Brusko took his talents to RRQ Hoshi in Indonesia, never imagining that his journey abroad would also lead him to his one true love.
In the name of love, Brusko spared no effort and took every chance to know Uayfu deeply in hopes of winning her heart.
“Yung girlfriend ni Skylar ka-close ko rin, kaya nagpapatulong ako sa kaniya para mapalapit kay Ayu (Uayfu),” he said.
And the rest was history. But relationships go through seasons, and sometimes you just have to weather the storm together.
Love that lasts is tested in hardship, and Uayfu proved hers by standing with Brusko during his lowest, long before he earned everything he deserves in his career.
“Nag de-date ako to marry eh, siya na yung the one kasi nung walang-wala ako, nung inalis ako sa RRQ, umiyak ako nun, tapos kinomfort niya ako na marami pang kukuha sa akin na team,” he said.
What looked like a spontaneous proposal to many, Brusko actually took his time to gather the courage and win his family’s approval first.
“Actually, yung sister ko yung nag-insist na magbigay na ako ng ring sa kaniya, na mag-propose na ako. Pinag-isipan ko rin ng ilang weeks, ilang months siguro,” Brusko explained.
What can we look forward to in their wedding?
Brusko revealed to SPIN.ph that he plans to have the wedding in Indonesia and that he also intends to convert to the Muslim faith.
“Sa location, sa Indonesia talaga pero wala pang actual date. Kasi kung nanalo kami sa MSC, baka early next year, around February or March. Pero syempre kailangan muna mag-ipon,” he revealed.
Brusko and Uayfu proved that true love conquers all—no miles, no seas, and no distance could ever keep their hearts apart.
