Watch out! Oheb delivers a stellar debut with Team Liquid

TEAM LIQUID Philippines started their MPL Philippines Season 15 journey with a bang, securing a dominant 2-0 victory over Team Falcons at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati City. Leading the charge in the opening week, Filipino Sniper Kiel “Oheb” Soriano proved that he is far from past his prime.

Oheb fueled Team Liquid Philippines' firepower in their match against Team Falcons, shining bright with consecutive MVP awards with Granger and Harith.

The ex-Blacklist International standout and three-time MPL Philippines champion has joined Team Liquid Philippines, bringing his championship-level talent to help the Cavalry kick off the season on a high note.

As Oheb embarks on this new journey, how does he adapt to his newfound home?

“Pagdating sa mga adjustment, hindi naman ako nahihirapan mag-adjust kasi kung ano yung playstyle ko sa dati kong team [Blacklist International] parang sobrang dali lang i-apply sa Team Liquid. Tapos yung play style din nila parang pasok din sa play style ko kaya parang nagsi-sync kami,” Oheb explained, instantly jiving in with Team Liquid Philippines.

This season, Oheb joined the Cavalry’s charge with a fresh mindset, understanding that change was necessary to achieve greater success with his new squad.

A new beginning awaits Oheb

“Biggest lesson para sa akin is ayusin yung mga bad habits ko outside the game kasi pag inside the game kayang kaya pa ayusin pero yung mga bad habits na nakuha ko, yun yung medyo mahirap ayusin. Kaya tinanggal ko yung mga bad habits na nakuha ko dati coming to TLPH,” he expressed.

“Bad habits tulad ng pag-tilt sa laro, hindi naka-focus sa laro. Tinanggal ko lang lahat, parang kahit anong mangyari,” Oheb added.

Professional players invest countless hours in practice and scrimmages, and with Oheb, the Cavalry found the perfect way to unwind after thrilling matches in the Land of Dawn.

“Outside the game, naglalaro kami ng mga ibang games tulad ng League of Legends, VALORANT. Laro pa rin talaga yung bonding namin. Tsaka kakain din sa labas,” Oheb said.

Based on his performance vs. Team Falcons, it seems Oheb's chemistry was on point and this was even pointed out by Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano.

"Sobrang dominating e. Sa tingin ko fit-na-fit siya sa playstyle ng Liquid e kaya naging explosive siya. Tingin ko kasi yung chemistry nila hindi baguhan e. Fit-na-fit talaga siya sa team."
