NIP FLASH dealt Aurora Gaming their second loss in the second day of the M6 World Championship Swiss Stage at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center in Malaysia. Not out of the running just yet, but on the brink of elimination, how will Aurora change their fate in the race to making it into the M6 Knockout Stage?
Aurora, with a 0-2 record, is in a critical situation in the M6 Swiss Stage, where a single loss could derail their hopes to advance to the M6 Knockout Stage and crush their championship dream.
The prowess of NIP Flash was on full display, dominating Aurora Gaming from early game until late game in terms of map control, objective taking, and gold lead.
Aurora held their ground in hopes of turning the tides in their favor, but NIP Flash denied any potential comeback with an unstoppable momentum.
Blink or you will miss it. NIP Flash saw a window of opportunity after picking off Renejay “Renejay’ Barcarse on Kaja during the 14-minute lord contention, resulting in a four-man elimination to end the game.

Aurora outplayed
NIP Flash operated like well-oiled machinery and also made a statement that their in-game IQ should never be underestimated.
“We have been scrimming them a lot, we’ve been losing most of our games to them. Probably they underestimated us in draft and gameplay wise, and everything else. I think that played a huge factor. Nonetheless, I truly believe that all of our five players stepped up today, played to their very best, and made no mistakes. That’s why we won the game,” NIP Flash coach Joseph 'Zarate' Yeo said, pointing out the factors that made the difference in today’s matchup.
Meanwhile, Coach Dexter “Dexstar” Alaba embraced defeat and commended the strong showing of NIP Flash.
“I think NIP really did well today, and they just really [outsmarted] us and outplayed us. I think that's it,” Dexstar said.
Mixed opinions surround Aurora’s drafts and the coaching staff often take the heat of the blame, and head coach Aniel “Master the Basics” has something to say about their thought process.
"Basically, what we wanted to do [was] just play our game. It doesn't matter whatever they pick, we just need to play our game. That's our mindset for this game. But apparently, we still haven't found that game yet. We are not able to show it yet,” Master the Basics explained.
Aurora still has a chance to turn things around in the remaining best-of-three matches, but the time is ticking and they are now walking on thin ice.
