MORE FILIPINOS enter the Cambodian MLBB scene as Impunity KH and Team Max have acquired notable players from the MPL-PH scene.
Impunity KH published a video featuring Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales, who expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing in the Khmer team.
“I'm looking forward to see you all soon in Cambodia,” he said.
Prior to his appearance, Impunity roamer Tan “Tyyy” Yuongty said that he was looking for “a partner who can make plays” while complimenting his fast methodology.
Team KH also acquires Pinoy MLBB players
But besides Impunity, Team Max likewise made key acquisitions as they brought in Ralph “Flick” Hamoy and Kenneth Palejo “CADENZA” Castro.
Flick once played for Onic Philippines during the Sibol qualifiers for the Southeast Asian Games, while CADENZA was part of Nexplay EVOS’ Season 9 and Sibol qualifiers roster.
During MPL Cambodia’s 2022 Autumn season, Impunity reached second in the group stages, but ended up crashing at the 4th place in the playoff rounds.
Meanwhile, Team Max ended up at the 5th-6th place.
As these two teams saw their M4 dreams fade away, it was Burn X Flash who secured the overall championship, a team led by two Filipinos in Coach John Michael “Zico” Dizon and Jhonwin “Hesa” Vergara.
It seemed only a matter of time that other Cambodian squads would follow suit. And so here we are, with two teams bringing in Filipino prospects to further enhance their skills.
