AFTER A PROLONGED INVESTIGATION, the MDL Philippines officially releases their statement on the alleged match fixing incidents happening around the scene.
Here are the results of their investigations.
"TNC Z4’s Jiee committed attempts to throw a game. Any intent to throw a game is a serious violation of integrity and professionalism."
"RSG El Ganador’s Nyija and Aeris admitted to proceeding with the match-fixing in their match against Smart Omega Neos last 24 April 2024. To note, Omega Neos was unaware of the situation happening"
After digging deep into the matter, the MDL concluded that both TNC Z4 and RSG El Ganador 'were not found to have committed any infractions,' though both orgs were already warned by the league.
Penalties
Given the infractions of these players, the MDL has given them penalties based on the league's rulebook.
All three players are suspended from the MLBB Esports ecosystem (MDL, MPL, and other MOONTON event) for three years until April 30, 2027.
And due to these violations, the MDL will continuously aim to combat these unwanted incidents.
"Match fixing goes against these principles and we will continue to actively work together on ensuring the integrity of the league. Let's combat these issues together to foster a professional esports ecosystem."
