NORTH AMERICAN Mobile Legends Bang Bang superstar, Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun drew negative attention due to a post he had on his Instagram story, where he disrespected the Jalur Gemilang, the National Flag of Malaysia.
In the IG story the term, 'noob' was shown near the National Flag. For starters, 'noob' is a deregatory term used to describe an inexperience player.

MobaZane deleted the post and he immediately issued an apology on his YouTube channel.
"I would like to address the recent post I made regarding the Malaysian flag. I fully understand that it was disrespectful, and I regret posting it. I want to sincerely apologize to the Malaysian community, as well as anyone else who was offended by my actions," he started.
"Esports is about bringing people together from all countries, and what I said goes against everything MLBB stands for. In no way did I intend to insult anyone, but I understand that intent doesn't always match impact, and I take full responsibility for my post."
"Moving forward, I will be learning from this mistake, and make sure that this does not happen again. Thank you to everyone who has held me accountable – it’s a reminder that we all need to be more mindful of our actions & how they affect others."
Eventually word of his trangressions reached the Malaysian Esports Federation (MESF) who issued a public statement regarding the incident.
MESF demands an apology
It turns out that there was also another incident which seem to have disrespected the Malaysian Flag.
"The Malaysian Esports Federation (MESF) strongly condemns two recent incidents involving disrespect towards the Malaysian flag within the Mobile Legends esports community," the org highlighted.
The first incident involved around MobaZane's actions where the org said: "Writing the word 'noob' on the Malaysian flag on Instagram is a serious insult to our national symbol."
Then the second one involved MPL Indonesia.
"The incorrect representation of the Malaysian flag on social media undermines professionalism and the integrity of international events," said the post.
At the end of their post, the MESF issued the following demands. They also expect MOONTON to respond within seven days.
- Public apologies from both parties involved.
- Implementation of stricter guidelines to prevent similar incidents.
- Firm action from MOONTON to ensure fairness and respect in the esports community.
