The M7 World Championship reached a new M Series viewership record after reaching 5.36 million Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV) across all platforms during the match between Team Liquid and Alter Ego according to data from Esports Charts.
This broke the record of the M5 World Championship two years ago which hit a peak of 5.06 million PCVs in the Grand Finals between the Philippines' AP.Bren and Indonesia's ONIC Esports.
Sadly for Team Philippines, the result didn't go the country's way as Team Liquid fell to Alter Ego in a crazy back-and-forth battle which went the full-five in front of a raucous Tennis Indoor Senayan crowd in Jakarta on Saturday.

The loss effectively ended the Cavalry's bid to complete the 'Golden Road' after winning the MPL PH Seasons 15 and 16, and the MLBB mid-season cup over the past 12 months.
But M7 could still reach a new peak by Sunday's Grand Finals, as two of the biggest MLBB countries collide when the Philippines Aurora Gaming PH take on Indonesia's Alter Ego in the finals.
