IT'S CONFIRMED!
Aurora Gaming has officially unveiled its roster for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 16, marking the homecoming of Dylan “Light” Catipon, who will take over the roamer position previously held by Renejay “Renejay” Barcarse.
Light’s career was defined by his time with RSG Philippines, where he won MPL Season 9 and the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022. However, that chapter came to a close when the squad bid farewell to the MPL Philippines earlier this year.
Chasing new horizons, Light even took his talents overseas, suiting up for Bigetron by Vitality in MPL Indonesia Season 15, where the squad finished in 5th–6th place.
The former RSG PH star and MPL champion is set to bring his skills and experience from both local and international competitions to Aurora Gaming as they aim for the championship in MPL Philippines Season 16.
Fans had already anticipated this minor roster change when Twisted Minds’ Coach Kristoffer "BON CHAN" Ricaplaza dropped a hint that a new addition to Aurora Gaming would align perfectly with the team’s core identity and battle cry: “Lights within, seize the win!”
Aurora Gaming previously ended their MPL Philippines Season 15 campaign in fourth place after falling to Team Falcons, 3-0, in the lower bracket semifinals.
With the reinforcement of Light, Aurora Gaming hopes to redeem itself and finally clinch the elusive title in the upcoming season.
Light will be reuniting with his former teammate Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto and will join a star-studded lineup featuring Edward “Edward” Dapadap, Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo, and Jan Dominic “Domeng” Del Mundo.
