ANOTHER TNC member has officially joined RSG PH’s ranks for the upcoming 9th Season of the MPL Philippines.
With Joshwell Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog taking a break, it’s time for RSG to unveil his potential replacement.
In comes Clarense Jay “Kousei” Camilo, who played for Work Auster Force in Season 7 and that team's new incarnation TNC Pro Team in Season 8. He wasn’t the only member from those teams that joined, as Dylan Aaron “Light” Catipon officially signed up a few days ago.
The announcements were officially made on The Raiders’ Facebook page.
According to the organization, Kousei’s calm demeanor and experience would benefit the team, especially when they encounter some heavy resistance in their campaign.
They even acknowledged that Kousei’s arrival in RSG — the announcement of which coincided neatly with his birthday — would signal a new beginning and a new journey in his career.
Will Kousei take over Iy4knu’s absence?
Iy4knu, who will be taking a break for Season 9, has long been viewed as a potential teamfight sparkplug who complements RSG’s signature deathball tactics with his surprise entrances. He serves as both an initiator in teamfights or as a follow-up option after Jonard Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto delivers his barrage.
Kousei’s hero pool, meanwhile, could replicate Iy4knu’s magic with his signature Esmeralda, Alice, and Harith picks.
However, it should also be noted that Eman “Emann” Sangco became a key contributor during Iy4knu’s absence in the MPL: Invitational as he synergized well with Demonkite. This will certainly provide Coach Brian “Panda” Lim some fluidity with his tactical choices.
And in case The Raiders are determined to go for a Sibol run, both Kousei and Emann are unavailable due to their underaged status. However, it’s possible that Iy4knu might make his return before the SEA Games’ qualifiers begin.
