TEAM LIQUID Philippines overpowered AP.Bren with a decisive sweep in Week 6 of the MPL Philippines Season 15, reclaiming the top of the regular standings with an impressive 9-1 match record.

The Cavalry stayed on the top of their game, but their victory over the Hive did not come easy. Team Liquid PH relied on their years of experience and tight-knit chemistry to overcome any potential threats from the new generation AP.Bren.

“Lamang po namin sa kanila yung chemistry tsaka yung experience. Alam namin paano laruin yung hero namin na kapag nakalamang, tuloy-tuloy ganun,” Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno said.

The momentum may have been on the side of Team Liquid PH, but they were humble enough to applaud AP.Bren’s evident growth.

“Ngayon parang mas confident sila gumalaw. Mas may tiwala na sila sa isa't isa gumalaw. Tapos hindi na sila natatakot kung igo-go ba nila. Iisa na decision nila ngayon, parang palakas sila nang palakas,” KarlTzy pointed out, noticing the growing confidence and decisiveness of AP.Bren.

KarlTzy defeated once again AP.Bren’s rising jungler Jonathan "JamesPangks" Mendoza in their second face-off but displayed nothing but humility.

“Tingin ko lang po ngayon parang mas lumamang po kami as a team po. Di lang po ako,” he said, declining to take all the credit for himself.

What are Team Liquid's plans during the break?

Team Liquid PH secured a playoff berth early in the regular season, and with less pressure on their shoulders, the Cavalry opened up about their plans during the MPL Philippines’ two-week break.

“Even though nakapag-playoff-secured na po kami, magpa-practice pa rin po kami, and siguro magkaka-break po kami pero super slight lang. Feel ko hindi kami pwede magpabaya kasi pa playoffs na po,” Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya said, expressing his determination to remain focused on practice and avoid any complacency as the playoffs draw closer.

“Ako kasi malayo yung probinsya ko kaya hindi po ako makakauwi. Chill-chill lang nang saglit tapos practice na ulit,” Kiel “Oheb” Soriano added.
