JUNE Mar Fajardo misses the on-court action just as much as everyone does.
But for now, he’s dead set on translating his on-court competitiveness to streaming online games.
The gentle Cebuano giant has turned his attention to gaming, which has been keeping him company during this lockdown for four months and counting now as he continues his rehabilitation and recovery.
Recently, he created a streaming channel “AHOSgaming” on Facebook where he plays and streams Mobile Legends, DOTA, and other online games.
“Lagi talaga akong naglalaro ng online games, so naisip ko gumawa na lang ako ng channel para din makapag-interact ako sa mga fans in time of this crisis,” he told SPIN Life. "Ngayon lang ako nag-stream, habang wala pang PBA.”
The six-time PBA MVP said that sharing his hobby to the public has brought him nothing but good vibes.
After all, you could only do so much when you're healing from a shin injury.
“Wala rin naman akong ibang magawa sa bahay aside sa workout at movies. Kaya at least habang streaming, nakaka-interact ko rin sila [fans]. Enjoy naman tsaka masaya kasi nakakalaro ko ‘yung mga viewers at fans," said Fajardo, who was sidelined in early February when he completely fractured his right tibia during practice.
Through his channel, the 6-foot-10 San Miguel banger can drum up some friendly competition among friends, as well as loop in his fans and fellow gamers.
But lurkers beware: He’d like to keep his streaming channel a safe space for everyone.
“Walang away at trashtalk, enjoy lang yung game dapat, good vibes lang. Buti naman ‘yung mga nakakalaro ko, puro mababait naman,” he revealed. “’Pag may nag-trashtalk, warning sila, tapos next time, blocked na."
The Pinamungajan native also explained that his gaming page’s name is a tribute to his Visayan roots.
“Ahos means garlic sa Bisaya," he said. "Wala lang. Sa ibang games ko, ang username ko naman sibuyas, kamatis, okra, mga ganon."

For everyone who misses watching him play, June Mar encourages them to follow his page. He streams two to three times daily depending on his mood.
“Kahit sino naman marunong akong gamitin, follow na lang nila ako sa AHOSgaming para makalaro kami. Walang away para ma-enjoy namin ‘yung game," he said.
