A HUGE TARGET will be placed on Falcons AP.Bren for being crowned as the World Champions back in M5, and things might reach an interesting turn especially when looking at their rivals in the group stages.
Among the teams that they'll be facing is the pride of North America, Cloud9. Recently, the American-based team has travelled to the Philippines to further hone their skills.
So what does Bren have to say about them?
"Masaya kasi madali lang. (laughs) 'De Joke lang, sikat sila ngayon e, kaya maganda yung laban," said Angelo Kyle "Pheww" Arcangel to the media.
But he wasn't the only one who had jokes about the team as the other members from Bren have also expressed their thoughts.
"Pababalikin namin sila sa US kasi easy server lang daw yung PH e. 'De joke lang." continued David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon.
Deep inside though, Bren shows a level of respect to their North American counterparts. In fact, Bren's 6th man, Vincent "Pando" Unigo, expressed what happened when the two teams scrimmed against each other.
"Medyo dikit naman, may galaw. Siguro sa MSC may sikreto silang ilalabas," said Pando.
Is this a sign that Cloud9 can replicate the BTK magic back in the M3 World Championship?
Back in M3, Michael "MobaZane" Cosgun became the breakout star of that tournament as he surprisingly pushed his team to an unexpected 3rd place finish.
But he will be challenged by his rival in the group stages, Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson, who admitted that he looks forward to facing NA's legendary jungler.
"Excited akong makalaban siya (MobaZane) kasi first time ko siyang makakatapat sa international scene," KyleTzy revealed.

Other teams to look out for
However, Cloud9 isn't the only team that Bren will face as there are other worthy challengers in the MSC 2024.
Pheww has faced Myanmar's prowess back in the M2 World Championship finale when Bren nearly could've suffered from the Burmese Ghouls, however there's more to the region than meets the eye as seen with Falcon Esports in the MSC 2022 and M4 World Championship.
Then when the Burmese Ghouls returned in the M5 World Championship, they nearly could've sent Indonesia's Geek Fam packing home.
And that's exactly the level of resistance that Pheww expects for this MSC 2024 with Falcon Esports bracketed alongside Bren.
"Falcons, kasi yung Myanmar na team alam natin na malakas sila so may chance na makakalason din sila," explained Pheww.
But it's not only Falcons who the team looks forward to face as there are other notable threats ahead. The Selangor Red Giants are placed in Group B, known as the Group of Death and it would be intriguing to see a matchup featuring KyleTzy and Malaysia's best jungler, Muhammad Haqqullah "Sekys" Bin Ahmad Shahrul Zaman.
Kyle admitted that he is eager to face SRG's jungler.
"Sa akin si Sekys, kasi nagagalingan ako sa kanya e tsaka flexible kasi siya e, kaya niyang mag-utility at assassin."
And his level of play is something that Coach Robert "Trebor" Sanchez has been keeping an eye on.
"SRG tsaka Onic kasi assassin meta and parehong malalakas mag-assassin yung junglers nila," reflected Bren's tactician.
