LAST WEEK, the MLBB community was set aflare after it was leaked that Team Liquid Philippines was beaten by Selangor Red Giants in a scrimmage.
This made Team Liquid Philippines (formerly ECHO) coach express his disappointment through a Facebook post which is now deleted.
A scrimmage or scrim is a simulated or practice game between teams. In Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), professional teams usually schedule a series of four games against each other—two games for the away and two games for the home side.
But there is a sacred rule about scrims teams must never break: Never reveal scrim results. What happens in a scrim stays in a scrim.
Scrim results should be held confidential at all times because it is a way for teams to test new strategies they could use in their upcoming games. Disclosing outcomes of practice games is considered taboo and the highest offense that a team can do to the other team.
There may be unexpected results during scrims like amateur teams defeating professional teams but these can be used as room for improvement.
People should also not be that very surprised when powerhouse teams are beaten by other teams as the MLBB scene continues to grow at a rapid rate.
Teams are improving and strategies are formulated for them to achieve their goals which is to win.

What happens to teams who leak scrim results?
Since it is considered taboo to leak scrim results, teams who break the pact may be unable or have a hard time scheduling scrimmages again in the near future.
Falcons AP. Bren coach Francis “Ducky” Glindro who was also an administrator among scrim groups says that they may not practice with teams who leak scrimmage information.
“I normally would refrain from training with them again as there are no guarantees of confidentiality moving forward,” he told SPIN.ph
“Since I'm an administrator across all scrim groups, I would kick them out and ban them permanently unless proven otherwise. Trust goes a very long way.”
Teams who leak scrim results may have a hard time finding a practice partner in the Philippine region. This could be a major blow for them since the Philippines is considered the strongest Mobile Legends region in the world.
Even amateurs yet also random players in ranked games can top professional players.
As the issue goes, will there be any team that will practice with them anymore?
