Taking over the MPL hosting duties, Hans had to navigate the nerves and expectations that came with the task of carrying forward the legacy of Mara Aquino.
“Hans, host ka next season ha?" Believe me when the first thing I said was no. HAHAHAHAHAHAAH this was never on my 2025 bingo card- hindi ko kaya, I genuinely felt so pressured," Hans started.
"I’m filling in for someone who has left such a huge impact in the MLBB scene, at alam kong hindi ko matutumbasan yung impact na iniwan ni Ate Mara,” he continued in a Facebook post.
Hans felt pressured of doing the job at some point, but the wholesome support of the MPL community and Mara herself gave him the strength to push through.

Greater heights ahead
“So I’m thankful that she gave me a push for it- to take it but stay level. I realized that if I can’t offer the things that a lot of people are used to, that meant that I had to approach things differently," reflected the current MPL host.
“Thank you to people who trusted na magagawa ko yung role ko this season kasi kahit nung di pa simula, pakiramdam ko na tatalong ako agad. Salamat din sa mga teams na sobrang nagpadali ng trabaho ko dahil sa pakikitungo nila sa akin on-and-off the camera,” Hans added.
As Season 15 concluded, Hans also received nothing but overflowing love and appreciation from the co-talents he worked with through the years.
“You did great! Malayo pa mararating mo!” Mara commented.

“I’ve lost count how many times I’ve either said in my head or told the others “Grabe, ang galing ni Hans” when you did something that was so uniquely you when it came to hosting. You really grew into the role of the “kuya” of the broadcast," reflected MPL caster Renmar "Reptar Santa Cruz.
He added: "Equal parts responsible, professional kuya and kuya who instigates the chaos subtly cause sometimes it’s just fun to see the little bros cause trouble. We all felt your worry, but we all saw you shine and thrive in such an iconic role. Proud of you bro."

“Hey man, you've always been capable of great things even if it's outside of your initital vision of yourself. If there was a best talent award this season, I am 10000000% sure it would have been you. Sobrang lakas ng pag step up mo this season brad, and sure akong hindi pa ito ang ceiling ng talent mo. Congrats!!!” Theo “Uomi” Igancio applauded.

What’s next for the talented host? Will we see him again hosting the MPL next season? Only time could tell, as Hans hinted at a possible return to the casting desk.
“I don’t know if I’ll be doing this again or I’m coming back to the desk, or if it’s time to call it quits- but I can proudly say that I’ve done every role imaginable at the Champions Arena (except sa player roles ofc, di natin kaya yon) Thank you MPL Philippines Season 15,” Hans said.
