A cut above the rest, Team Liquid Philippines staved off potential threats that may stain their impressive record in the regular season.
Two weeks into the MPL Philippines Season 15, let’s revisit how the Cavalry kept a flawless 4-0 match record.
Cavalry vs. Hive
In game one, Team Liquid PH mounted a lopsided 21-7 kill score against AP.Bren with non-stop aggression and unpredictable ambushes.
AP.Bren held their ground with a sturdy base defense, but Team Liquid PH’s strategic play, led by Alston “Sanji” Pabico’s clever diversion play on Lou YI, sealed the first win of the match.

However, AP.Bren refused to back down without a fight as Landher "Der" Gabriel on Badang came up with an unexpected initiation that led the Hive to wipe out the Cavalry during the 8th-minute mark.
Jonathan “JamesPangks” Mendoza secured a triple kill in the bottom lane jungle clash, leveling the gold lead and paving the way for an uncontested lord objective take.
The moment of truth arrived when Team Liquid PH neutralized AP.Bren’s lord advantage with a four-man takedown during the final clash.
Sanji showcased his prowess on Lou Yi, securing a well-earned MVP title with a 2-2-9 KDA.

Cavalry outlasts Omega timers
Team Liquid PH dominated the opening game of the series with a commanding 22-13 kill score over Smart Omega.
Smart Omega may be backed into a tough spot, but they had a great showing, trying to keep pace with Team Liquid’s aggressive gameplay.
Kiel “Oheb” Soriano on Harith and Sanji on Valentina executed a high-risk base siege in the final moments—and it paid off.
Oheb led the Cavalry’s charge and earned the MVP title with an impressive 9-1-9 KDA.

The nail-biting battle between Smart Omega and Team Liquid PH had fans at the edge of their seats, but a single crucial mistake decided the outcome.
The defining moment came when Jayson “UK1R” Alupit executed a diversion play in the top lane during the 27-minute period, eliminating Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno’s Fanny and putting Team Liquid PH at a numbers disadvantage.
Smart Omega continuously applied pressure to Team Liquid PH, using the lord’s push to eliminate four members of Team Liquid PH.

In game three, Team Liquid PH quickly regained their footing and outlasted Smart Omega.

MPL Philippines Season 15 action continues in its third week on March 14-16. Will Team Liquid PH continue their dominance, or will a new team shake up the standings and take over?
