FOR THE 5TH time in the franchise's history, T1 are your League of Legends Worlds Champions as they conquered the tournament in 2024.
Their path to the top was no easy feat as they had to dispatch two of the strongest teams in their respective regions.
Gen.G was considered to be the most dominant force in the LCK region this year, while BiliBili Gaming (BLG) propelled themselves to the top of the LPL, and T1 managed to slay both of them in the grandest stage of them all.
In the grand finale, they survived an onslaught from BiliBili Gaming, securing a 3-2 series victory, and most importantly back-to-back Worlds trophies.
Their triumphant display likewise proved that even with their backs on the wall, T1 will reach super saiyan levels once they compete in the world stage, silencing their critics who argue that they're on a decline.

T(op)1 of the world!
Games 1 and 3 proved that BLG was a massive threat as they completely nerfed T1, with the 1st game showcasing the prowess of Zhao "Elk" Jiahao and Zhuo "knight" Ding, while the 3rd game was a 17-3 masterclass for the Chinese team.
However, T1 proved their resilience that even when Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyung had a experience disadvantage at the early stages of Game 2, and even when he was picked off at key clashes in the series, the team managed to turn the tides.
If the 2nd game was a lopsided match in favor of the South Korean squad, the 4th game saw both teams undergo equal exchanges, but it was T1 who prevailed at the key moments all thanks to the savior and the GOAT himself, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok.

The Unkillable Demon delivers the exclamation point
And it all boils down to one last game, and as both teams tried to reclaim resources at the early stages of the game, it was Faker who once again took centerstage especially at the final moments of the match. With his Galio pick, he made crucial saves and initiation setups that surprised the Chinese team.
The 28th minute clash saw the death of Gumayusi, which suggested that BLG had the advantage, but Faker's surprise flash and crowd control eventually mounted the turnaround, leading to an ace.
The heroics carried on the 31st, where Faker was about to die only for him to bamboozle the opposition alongside his teammates, living up to his 'unkillable' moniker.
With such a performance, Faker truly cements his GOAT status, as he garnered his finals MVP, while winning his 5th Worlds trophy.
