EXECRATION PULLED OFF a massive signing for the upcoming DPC season as the team recently announced the arrival of Coach Park "March" Tae-Won.

His arrival is a sign that Execration are ready to bring their game to the next level — and may even presage a return to the International. The team last took the Dota 2 world series' main stage back in TI7.

This is also the first time that Execration acquired a foreign talent.

Coach March wasn't the Filipino team's only foreign acquisition. Carlo "BDz" Manalo will be serving as the team's new support and captain.

He was part of Execration's lineup during their BTS Pro Series Season 13: Southeast Asia campaign, where they won the grand championship after a rough start in the group stages.

With their arrival, Execration are hoping to make a breakthrough where the team could finally reach a Dota 2 major which last happened back in 2021 during the WePlay AniMajor, where they finished 17th.

Will Execration's announcement shape the scene

With Execration signing up an esteemed international veteran, teams in the upcoming SEA DPC season might be forced to follow their footstep, including the newly formed Blacklist Rivalry, who have yet to announce a coach. (Most of the team, however, prefers a Filipino mentor over a foreign one.)

March was part of TNC's roster that won their first Dota 2 major in Chengdu back in 2019, where he served as the team's hard support and captain.

Then as a coach, March fills out an impressive resume, even though he never won any trophy. During his tenure with T1, the team accomplished a 3rd place finish in the WePlay AniMajor.

Then during The International 2021, T1 bagged a 7th-8th place finish, where they got eliminated by Chinese powerhouse Vici Gaming.
