Yawi's journey with ECHO PH officially ends

WITH TRISTAN "YAWI" CABRERA being benched during Season 12, speculations arise on whether or not he will still be a part of the org's future.

And ECHO PH's recent announcement finally answer these speculations as Yawi is no longer a part of the Orcas lineup.

"I will be parting ways with ECHO guys, of course gusto ko munang magpasalamat sa inyo at sa ECHO," he started in the video.

He then acknowledged the members of the team for providing him the best support saying: "Sa team ko kay Coach TicTac at kay Coach Trebor, salamat kasi tinanggap niyo ako at naniwala kayo sa kakayahan ko."

He added: "Sa manager ko kay Miss Mitch na nag-alaga sa amin at isa sa naniwala na magcha-champion kami."

This was then followed by a shoutout to the members of ECHO's Loud and Proud roster.

Yawi's ECHO PH career retrospective

The so-called I-I-Idolo of MLBB esports was integral for the Orcas' success back in the M4 World Championship as his sudden surprise entrances was the game changer to break Blacklist International's dominance.

While he has proven to be a cornerstone for their success, there have been some lingering concerns centered around him in recent seasons.

ECHO has been benching Yawi in Season 12 as the players opted to choose Jaypee "Jaypee" Dela Cruz over the former Nexplay and ECHO roamer.

Frederic Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales told SPIN.ph the reasons for their decision, saying: “Hindi naman po sa mayroong nagagawa si Jaypee na hindi nagagawa si Yawi, kasi mayroon din namang nagagawa si Yawi na hindi nagagawa ni Jaypee. Mas may fit lang talaga si Jaypee sa amin."

With Yawi gone from the Orcas, where will he head next? The rumors of him joining RRQ have been debunked, which leads to the Aura Indonesia being the likely destination given the team's close bonds with ECHO PH.
