A NEW SEASON of the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship is on the horizon, and the Philippines will once again be at the forefront of the action.
Defending world champions Elevate PuK battled regional powerhouse and rivals Stalwart Esports to the end, and now both PH representatives have officially booked their tickets to the CODM World Champs 2025 after surviving the grueling Garena Regional Qualifiers.
The qualifiers featured the best teams from Southeast Asia and the road to Poland was nothing short of a battle. Stalwart Esports struck first, sweeping Elevate 3-0 in the upper bracket finals to send them crashing down to the lower bracket.
But Elevate, determined to defend their global crown, clawed their way back into contention. In a thrilling grand finals rematch, they toppled Stalwart 4-2, claiming the championship of the qualifiers and proving once again why they are the world’s most dangerous CODM squad.
While Elevate took home the regional trophy, both finalists secured qualification to the global stage, setting up another chapter in the Philippines’ growing dominance in CODM esports.

Defending the crown in Poland
Elevate PuK will enter the tournament as the reigning world champions, having lifted the CODM World Champs 2024 trophy last year. This time, however, the challenge grows bigger. After two straight years of being staged in Atlanta, USA, the World Championship heads to Katowice, Poland, on November 7–9, 2025.
With $850,000 (around ₱48 million) on the line and 16 of the best teams in the world convening, the battle for supremacy is set to be fiercer than ever.
The global field will feature elite representatives from North America, Latin America, China, Europe, India, Japan, Africa, and Southeast Asia. For the Philippines, having two contenders in the mix makes this campaign even more historic. Elevate will be chasing back-to-back world titles, while Stalwart Esports will be aiming to write their own story by breaking through on the grandest stage.
A new format for 2025
Fans and players alike will also see a revamped format in this year’s championship. Last year’s knockout-elimination structure after the Swiss-style groups is set to be replaced by a double-elimination playoff system – a requested change from the community.
Here’s how it breaks down:
- Day 1 (Group Stage): 16 teams split into four groups of four, with the top two from each advancing.
- Day 2 (Playoffs): The final 8 squads clash in a double-elimination bracket.
- Day 3 (Finals): Upper bracket final, lower bracket final, and grand final all take place in a blockbuster closing day.
The group draw will be announced at a later date, setting the stage for fans worldwide to track potential rivalries and dream matchups.
Philippine pride on the world stage
The CODM World Champs 2025 is shaping up to be another defining moment for Philippine esports. With Elevate seeking to cement themselves as a dynasty and Stalwart hungry to make a breakthrough, both teams will carry the country’s hopes into Katowice.
All eyes will be on Poland this November — where champions are made, legacies are tested, and the Philippines looks to reign supreme once again.
