Hall of Legends inductee Edward Dapadap of Blacklist International revealed whom he wants to be inducted into the elite group of coaches and players in the MPL Philippines.
In an interview with the MPL-PH Press Corps, Edward said he hopes Coach Kristoffer "Bon Chan" Ricaplaza or Coach Dexter "Dex Star" Alaba would be the next inductees in the Hall of Legends in Season 12.
Edward said people usually notice the performance of the players but not the coaches, who sacrifice a lot of their time and health to study and devise strategies, support the players, and prepare the whole team before they engage in tournaments.
“Sa coaches, si Dex Star o si Coach Bon. Kasama ko sila sa boot camp, nakikita ko iyong mga hirap nila, iyong puyat, pagod. Sa professional scene kasi, (kadalasan) ang performance ng players ang tinitignan, hindi nakikita iyong preparation (ng coaches). Hindi nila nakikita kung paano kami sumabak sa match,” said Edward.
“Matagal na rin sila sa scene, since Season 2 pa,” he added.
Edward Dapadap nominated a teammate for the Hall of Legends in Season 11
During the interview with the MPL-PH Press corps, SPIN.ph asked Edward whom he nominated for the Hall of Legends in Season 11.
"Si Hadji po," he said, referring to Salic "Hadji" Imam, who took a break from the MPL Philippines in Season 11.
"Mula Season 2, consistent din si Hadji. Paiba-iba lang siya ng role, pero nandoon pa rin ang consistent plays niya kahit anong role ang gamitin niya, mapa-Jungle, Mid Lane, o Tank."
Edward is one of the most awarded players in MPL Philippines. In terms of individual accolades, he garnered the Finals MVP award in Season 7 and became a playoff MVP in Season 10, courtesy of his Benedetta. He was also part of the MPL First Team for both Seasons 8 and 10. Edward’s individual efforts earned him numerous trophies, being involved in Blacklist International's MPL championship reigns in Seasons 7, 8, and 10. To top it all, he helped Blacklist win the M3 World Championship.
So far, Blacklist International has three Hall of Legend inductees in its active roster: Edward, Jonmar "OhMyV33NUS" Villaluna, and Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario.

At first, Edward did not believe that he would become the Hall of Legends inductee.
“Noong una, hindi ako naniniwala na ako (ang Hall of Legends inductee). Tapos noong tinawag ako, nag-isip ako ng sasabihin ko. Hindi ako nakapag-prepare ng sasabihin ko, nahihiya po ako!”
During the induction ceremony of the MPL Philippines Hall of Legends, Edward was visibly seen crying on stage as a video of his family played on the screens.
“Malapit po talaga ako sa parents ko, at na-touch po talaga ako sa sinabi nila. Hindi ko inexpect na may pa-message silang ganoon. Na-touch ako, malapit ako sa pamilya ko.”
