FNATIC ONIC Philippines triumphed over Team Liquid ID (Final Score: 4-1) to secure the M6 World Championship title, marking the Philippines' fifth straight M-Series championship victory at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Their win also marks an undefeated run as the Filipino squad never lost a single series in their quest for M6 glory. Only two teams have achieved this feat namely EVOS Legends back in M1 and now Fnatic Onic.
Too much firepower!
Fnatic ONIC Philippines overwhelmed Team Liquid ID in game one, applying constant aggression to keep the Cavalry under pressure throughout the game.
Duane "Kelra" Pillas, playing as Bruno, showcased his exceptional marksmanship, leading the Hedgehogs to wipeout the Cavalry with a triple-kill during the 8-minute mark Lord fight.
Working side-by-side with the Gold Standard, Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez on Suyou pulled off a last-minute double kill to propel Fnatic ONIC to seal the first win of the series.
Kelra on Bruno earned the MVP badge with an impressive 7-1-5 KDA.
Fnatic ONIC took control in game two, unleashing a dominant momentum that resulted in a wipeout of Team Liquid ID in just 6 minutes.
Demonstrating scrappy defense and high-octane offense, the Filipino Hedgehogs kept all turrets intact and charged head-first into teamfights.
The Gold Standard continued to raise the bar, clinching back-to-back MVP citations on Bruno with a flawless 6-0-5 KDA.
The Cavalry stumbles
As the matchup grew dire, Team Liquid ID understood the need for immediate adjustments, banning Bruno in hopes of turning the game around.
Team Liquid ID started their retaliation from the moment they took the first lord, seizing control of the map and growing their gold lead even further.
Favian "Faviannn" Putra on Joy powered up the artillery of Team Liquid ID with a 9-2-1 KDA, denying Fnatic ONIC from getting to the match point.
Fnatic ONIC showed no mercy, dismantling Liquid ID with a 21-1 kill score and wrapping up the fourth game in just 10 minutes.
Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez, playing as Valentina, was unstoppable in the middle lane, delivering a splendid 2-0-14 KDA.
Then came the final game which seem to show The Cavalry's prowess at the start of the game, but Fnatic ONIC's micro and macro at the latter stages of the match changed everything.
A 10th minute, tower dive destroyed three key members from the Indonesian squad. This ultimately changed the course of the game, leading to the final push on the 14th minute. As Team Liquid was scrambling for solutions, Kelra was already setting his sights on the final inhibitor.
With the back-and-forth movements from his Irithiel, Kelra was able to finish the deal and finally slay his demons. After trying their best to win it all back in M3 and M5, ONIC have finally won the world championship.
For his efforts, Kelra bagged the finals MVP award.
