CONG Velasquez — or Cong TV, as he’s better known — is one of the most popular influencers out there.
He got his vlogging start back in 2015, but only recently started streaming arena battler Mobile Legends.
In a previous interview, Velasquez told SPIN Life that vlogging didn’t come easily for him and the rest of the Team Payaman crew.
“Dati mahiyain talaga kami [...] pero dahil dito matatanggal mo ‘yung hiya mo at masasanay ka makipag-usap at makisalamuha sa ibang tao,” he said.
While Cong and Team Payaman also stream PUBG Mobile and Tekken content, he said that Mobile Legends has helped make his influencer empire even bigger.
In fact, his first foray into ML content — a video called “BAGONG HUGOT SA ML” — has racked up over 10.2 million Facebook views.
He said that he had first started streaming Mobile Legends three months ago, and the revenue raised from his streams had enabled him to help out his friend Emman Nimedez. (Nimedez, sadly, died last August from cancer.)
In a stream he posted late May for Emman, Cong TV picked Badang as his main. He also said in the ML video that the metal-fisted fighter is his favorite hero.
“Sobrang tagal ko nang nag-e-MLBB ang tawag sa akin ng kakampi ko ay Master Cong,” he said jokingly.
As for why he plays Mobile Legends, Cong has this to say.
“Nakaka-stimulate siya ng brain cells natin pagdating sa, you know, decision making sa buhay. Totoo yun. That is a fact.”
Project NEXT, a linewide update to the current meta, will be releasing its first phase this month, according to MLBB developers Moonton. It will update many of the game’s current heroes, as well as rolling out audio and visual tweaks to the game.
