THE Call of Duty: Mobile competitive scene in Southeast Asia is back in full swing as the Garena Masters X officially kicks off its Group Stage, marking the 10th edition of the regional tournament and one of the biggest CODM competitions in the Malaysia, Singapore, and Philippines (MSP) region.

Eight Filipino teams emerged from the Qualification Stage held from February 28 to March 1 to secure their spots in the Group Stage.

The teams will now battle for supremacy to be crowned as the best CODM team and a share of the $40,000 prize pool (a significant upgrade from the $25,000 prize pool in Season 9), highlighting the continued growth and investment in the region’s CODM esports ecosystem.

The Group Stage runs from March 5 to 8, where the eight teams are split into two groups of four. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.

The competition will then culminate in the Playoffs and Grand Finals on March 14 and 15, where a double elimination bracket will determine the champion of the season.

Group A: Alula Club, MG.YGN Oblivion, Skaeri, Team Star Magic

Alula Club enters the tournament as the tournament favorites being the defending champions after winning it all in Season 9. They are bannered by a formidable roster composed of the former Stalwart Esports core (FDx, Skerd, Clove, Jhai) along with standout player Lucaszin coming from Brazil.

After finishing third in the 2025 CODM World Championship, Alula Club aims to start the CODM season strong with another title, but they will be tested in their group as well as the looming challenge of fierce rivals Elevate on the other side of the fence.

MG.YGN Oblivion, one of the veteran teams in the tournament, showed promise during the qualifiers, led by veteran players Gerk, R1sky, Epoks (now Yawi), MidsK, Seav, and WaDu.

All six guys were former players from different top teams in the country, and are now coming together for one common goal.

Team Star Magic brings experience from multiple regional tournaments, including past Garena Masters seasons. They are represented by Yato, Josh, Jibi, and Eiji, and now they have added young prodigies Rex and Bxdman.

Skaeri rounds out the group as a steadily improving roster that first made its mark in Garena Masters IX and later posted a solid showing in the CODM World Championship Garena Regional Finals, with a roster of Pickle, Sebyo, Mamra, Kramzu, Chroma, and Deshi.

Group B: Elevate, Elite Ascend, Elunari Esports, SVT Kalix

Group B is headlined by Elevate, the most decorated team in the field. The organization entered the CODM scene in late 2023 and quickly established itself as the region’s dominant force, winning the CODM World Championship in 2024.

They completed the historic Golden Road that year after also winning Garena Masters Seasons 6 and 7 and the CODM Summer Invitational.

Last year, they finished 2nd in the CODM World Championship after falling short to the eventual champions Q9 of China in the grand finals.

Led once again by the championship roster of KenDy, Susanoo, Yop1, kLo, and Peejay along with head coach Olea, Elevate is motivated from that loss, and this year they are eager to bounce back. Garena Masters X is the first step towards redemption.

Joining Elevate in Group B are Elite Ascend, Elunari Esports, and SVT Kalix, three underrated yet up and coming teams in the country today.

Elite Ascend began as a trial roster only weeks before the tournament but quickly developed chemistry through daily scrims and preparation; Elunari Esports enters with players who have prior experience in Garena Masters and CODM World Championship qualifiers; while SVT Kalix is another rising team that formed just three months ago and has focused heavily on structure and disciplined gameplay to compete with the region’s best.

With the top two teams from each group advancing to the Playoffs, every match in the Group Stage carries massive importance as teams fight for a place in the final four and a shot at the lion’s share of the prize.

Garena Masters X matches are streamed live daily starting 6 PM GMT+8 on the official Call of Duty: Mobile Garena YouTube channel, Facebook page, and TikTok account, where fans can follow the action as the best teams in the MSP region battle for regional dominance.
