COACH JOHN MICHAEL "Zico" Dizon had his highs and lows in his coaching career, and his journey in the professional scene will reach its end.
In his Facebook page, Coach Zico announced his official retirement.
In his post he said: "I’m filled with gratitude as I share the news of my official retirement from Mobile Legends Bang Bang. My journey was not an easy one but it was an incredible adventure brimming with unforgettable battles, hard-earned victories and memories that go beyond the games."
Zico reflected on his journey, looking back from his early years as a college player, to joining Onic PH, Nexplay EVOS, and becoming an import coach for Burn X Flash, who competed in the M4 World Championship.
Zico remains grateful for his overall journey
"Moving from a competitive player in college to becoming the youngest coach in 2021 (NXP) and the first export in the MLBB scene (BURN), I'll forever carry the numerous hours spent strategizing, competing, and sharing triumphs and defeats with past teammates and companions. Through the ups and downs, your influence has been instrumental in shaping the person I've become today."
In the end he was grateful for the overall experience, and he remains optimistic on the future.
"I am immensely thankful for the support and camaraderie that defined my time in the Mobile Legends community. While I say goodbye to this chapter, I am optimistic about the future and the endless possibilities that lie ahead."
Zico has accomplished some major feats in his career with his MPL Cambodia Autumn 2022 triumph as his greatest monument. Their victory has opened the doors for the Flamers to reach the international stage.
His arrival to Cambodia even opened the doors for Filipinos to play in that region.
