THE FIGHT goes on for Team Falcons AP.Bren as the team would challenge their rivals in the Land of Dawn.

But did you know that the team's fighting spirit doesn't just stem from inside the game as they've also shown it elsewhere? Chanelling his inner Paquito, Coach Francis "Ducky" Glindro has recently decided to try some Muay Thai, a full-contact combat sport from Thailand.

Coach Ducky, the future amateur fighter

He admitted that this wasn't the first time he tried Muay Thai, and he also revealed that he plans to venture into amateur fights.

"I've tried this a couple of years ago when I was still in my peak shape. Now I'm doing it as a side hobby but I'm looking forward to fighting in the amateur fights," he revealed to SPIN.ph

As to why he decided to return to Muay Thai? Coach Ducky needed to get back in shape.

"I was so fat. I was 67 kg, I was totally ripped. Now the highest weight that I got is 90 kg, I was trying to get back into shape."

In addition it serves as an avenue to combat stress.

"It actually releases some stress, punching mits, bags, it let's me off steam."

During his first session, Coach Ducky admitted that he ran out of breathing room, but after an extensive session, he is confident that he could last for three rounds.

But he wasn't the only one from the Bren roster who channeled his warrior spirit, as someone else in the Beehive has also taken interest.

Perhaps his prowess came from his inner self, where he harnessed the strength he gained in Muay Thai to demolish foes in the Land of Dawn.

"Wala na kasi akong magawa sa bootcamp pagkatapos mag-practice. In-entertain ako ni Coach Ducky na mag-Muay Thai. Gusto ko rin matutong mag-self defense," reflected Super Marco.

The Season 13 MVP told SPIN.ph that his entire body hurt during his very first session, and like Coach Ducky he also has aspirations to compete.

"Gusto ko rin mag-compete kasi para saan yung pagte-train ko kung hindi ako magco-compete. Siguro magco-compete ako kapag marunong na ako after six months."

Will Coach Ducky bring other members?

Is Coach Ducky willing to let Super Marco compete though? Will he even encourage the other members from the Beehive to tag along?

"I'm planning to slowly bring them in, but it's high risk kasi e. I don't want them to be injured while playing because they'll use both hands. It will involved their wrists. If they're interested, I will ease them in, introduce the sport, but not to the point na, 'Laban tayo!" he explained.

He may be hesitant to fully unleash his player's warrior strength in Muay Thai, however he hopes to use the sport to inspire his players.

"I wanna show my boys that I can still do it. If I can do it, they can do it. Even if I'm at this age, I can still achieve something."
