The Cavalry finally avenged their loss to Aurora Gaming in Week 4 of the regular season.
Team Liquid PH head coach Rodel “Arsy” Cruz credited the Cavalry’s composure and disciplined play as the game-changer in their intense showdown against a fellow powerhouse squad.
“Para sa akin, nakita ko talaga yung disiplina nila, and nagkaisa sila sa mga calls, decision-making, execution. Na-maintain nila kung paano kami naglaro kahapon,” coach Arsy said, commending the team’s synergy in the battlefield.
The series might have ended in a sweep, but Aurora put up a great showing against Team Liquid PH, especially in the heart-pounding game one.
“Sobrang dikit lang talaga nung game one. Pero since dumating sa late game, labanan na lang talaga ng disiplina yun tsaka decision-making. Nanalo kami, masasabi kong lumamang kami sa decision-making,” he added.
The Perkz of an Unsung Hero
Relentless and lethal, Team Liquid PH has been a dominating force this season, but few recognize the one fueling their charge behind the scenes—John "Perkz" Sumawan.
Coach Arsy named Perkz as an unsung hero of Team Liquid PH with his contributions to the coaching staff as a sixth man.
“Since sobrang eager niya na talagang lumaro sa MPL, ang kagandahan kay Perkz, hindi ko na siya kailangan utusan. Automatic siyang nag-aaral, nire-review niya yung mga scrims, and nagbibigay siya ng mga thoughts sa akin. Yun yung malaking naitutulong ni Perkz pati yung pakikisama sa team,” coach Arsy explained.
Team Liquid PH has concluded their regular season campaign on a high note, boasting an impressive 12-2 win-loss record.
