TEAM Liquid PH officially announced on Tuesday evening that star gold laner Kiel “Oheb” Soriano will be relegated to inactive status after a memorable one-year stint that redefined the competitive MLBB scene and left a lasting mark.
After just one season in the Cavalry’s shining armor, Oheb remains part of Team Liquid PH but will be taking a temporary break from active competition.
“Oheb will be moving to our inactive roster for the time being. While he’s stepping back from active competition, he remains a valued and integral part of the Cavalry, continuing his journey with us within the organization,” Team Liquid wrote in an official announcement.
Though brief, Oheb’s time in the spotlight with Team Liquid PH was nothing short of remarkable.
During Season 15, he helped steer the Cavalry to a championship finish before claiming another title in Season 16, earning his overall fifth MPL crown in the process.
This back-to-back run placed him among the elite—a four-time MPL Philippines champion and one of the few gold laners to sustain dominance across multiple seasons.
But his victories did not stop there.
Competing internationally, Oheb propelled the Cavalry to an MSC 2025 championship, showcasing unwavering composure under pressure and further solidifying his tandem with his “Babycakes” duo Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno.
The victory reinforced Team Liquid PH’s dynasty and highlighted Oheb’s ability to perform on the grandest stages, where split-second decisions and mechanical precision make all the difference.
Beyond MPL and MSC glory, Oheb represented the Philippines in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand with SIBOL MLBB Men’s team, claiming a gold medal in MLBB and adding national pride to his already impressive résumé.
Oheb and Team Liquid PH ultimately finished third in their bid to achieve the elusive Golden Road at the M7 World Championship in Jakarta earlier this year.
Though they fell short of the historic feat, the result only underscored how close Oheb came to completing one of MLBB’s rarest feats.
Oheb’s presence brought stability and championship DNA to a roster hungry to maintain dominance. Known for his disciplined laning, razor-sharp teamfight awareness, and clutch plays, he became a reliable anchor whenever the stakes were highest.
Beyond his skill, Oheb energized fans with his humor and lighthearted moments, proving that the Filipino Sniper could be as entertaining as he was lethal.
As of writing, neither Oheb nor Team Liquid PH has disclosed when he will return to active status.
Speculation, however, has already been swirling for months.
Some supporters believe the veteran gold laner could be eyeing a transition to Honor of Kings, especially after appearing at the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC 2025) last November.
The sighting has fueled rumors of a possible code switch—an increasingly common path for top-tier MLBB talent exploring new competitive horizons.
Whether he returns to MLBB or explores a new battlefield, one thing is certain: the Filipino Sniper’s next move will command attention, and his legacy will always be remembered and will inspire future aspiring players.
