AURORA MLBB officially bid farewell to Ben “Benthings” Maglaque ahead of the MPL Philippines Season 15 in a heartfelt Facebook post on Thursday evening.
Looking back, Benthings joined Aurora as a sixth man back in MPL Philippines Season 14 after parting ways with TNC Pro Team.
In joining the quest of Aurora to seize the win, Benthings reached a new milestone in his career as he made his first-ever grand finals appearance in the franchise and debuted on the global stage during the M6 World Championship in Malaysia.
Although his journey with Aurora was short-lived, Benthings’ lights from within shone and made an impact inside and outside the game.
“Benthings had a key role in Aurora MLBB’s introduction to the professional gaming scene in the Philippines. He was a strategist, a hotshot, and a mood booster to everyone. Whether it was a need for in-game or backend’s support, Ben always showed up to make things happen,” Aurora wrote.
“Benthings, the light you’ve shone upon the team is much appreciated, and every moment we’ve shared [was] truly cherished. We wish you the best in all your future endeavors,” Aurora added.
For now, the new chapter for Benthings awaits to unfold, and where will he take his talent next?
