    Bennyqt, ECHO PH go loud and proud in Mobile Gaming Awards 2023

    FILIPINO ESPORTS organization ECHO PH bagged accolades in the Mobile Gaming Awards aka MOBIES as both the org and star player Frederic Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales were recognized for their efforts.

    Bennyqt won the Mobile Player of the Year award, over Clash Royale player Mohamed "Mohamed Light" Tarek, Thai Free Fire players Ratchanon "Moshi" Kunrayason, and PUBG Mobile players Harsh "Goblin" Paudwal and Burenbayar "TOP" Altangerel.

    Throughout the previous months, Bennyqt took centerstage being crowned as the Finals MVP in the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was also during that tournament where 'Bagyong Benny' erupted and transcended into a global MLBB phenom.

    In the awarding ceremony video, Benny revealed how grateful he was to be chosen for the award.

    "I am very honored to be recognized as the best Mobile Player of the Year. My journey was not easy but having all the support made it all worth it," started the gold laner.

    He added: "I have come so far but I have so much to achieve. I hope you can continue supporting me. I dedicate this recognition to my family, friends, teammates, and all of my fans. Thank you so much."

    ECHO PH is the Mobile Team of the Year

    But his performances alone wasn't enough to carry the ECHO banner as the entire team behind him also made significant strides. Due to ECHO's dominance in the M4 World Championship and MPL PH Season 11, they were awarded as the Mobile Team of the Year, besting Estar Pro, EVOS Phoenix, Stalwart Esports, Tribe Gaming, and Zeta Division Zero.

    And speaking about the M4 World Championship, the prestigious MLBB event won the Mobile Esports Tournament of the Year, prevailing over the world championships of CODM, Brawl Stars, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, and PUBG Mobile.

    Kelly Chiew, the Head of Public Relations, narrated the struggles her team endured in order to ensure the events' success.

    "There was a lot of sweet memories, there’s quite a lot of, I would say, pain as well and at the same time good ones being made in terms of like making this world championship series happen in Jakarta," she said during the awarding ceremony.

    She further added: "It was really quite an experience for everyone and I just really, really want to take the chance to thank my staff, my wonderful team as well, especially the marketing, production, [and] logistics teams that worked so hard for this moment that helped us achieve another world-breaking PCU as well in terms of viewership."

    "It’s just amazing and really, thank you so much to our fans, our players, our gamers because at the end of the day you guys are what really matters. Thank you so very much for the support."

    As the awards went on, other games received recognition with Genshin Impact winning the Mobile Game of the Year award, while Mobile Legends was awarded as the Competitive Game of the Year.
