Aurora's clutch performances yields S15 upper bracket playoff spot

AURORA GAMING secured the final upper bracket slot after staging a dramatic reverse sweep against Team Falcons on the last day of the MPL Philippines Season 15 regular season.

Aurora turned the heat up in the MPL arena and gave the fans a taste of the adrenaline-packed action that awaits us in the playoffs.

Let's take a look at how Aurora capped off their regular season campaign in style.

A minor setback for Aurora

Team Liquid Philippines overpowered Aurora Gaming in the race to secure the first upper bracket berth with a 2-0 decisive sweep.

The series opener saw Aurora and Team Liquid PH exchanging heavy blows and fighting fiercely over major map objectives.

Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto tried a sneaky backdoor play with Hayabusa, but Team Liquid PH remained unstoppable in their base turret push against Aurora.

The Filipino Sniper Kiel “Oheb” Soriano on Kimmy demonstrated his superb marksmanship with a 10-2-7 KDA.

In game two, Aurora Gaming refused to back down without a fight, but they can’t seem to find the antidote to the pressure coming from Team Liquid PH.

Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz, using Gatotkaca, pulled off a lord steal at the 9-minute mark, helping the Cavalry maintain the momentum on their side.

Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno as Lukas earned the MVP badge with an 8-1-10 KDA.

Aurora beaming up lights

Aurora Gaming clinched the last upper bracket spot with a thrilling 2-1 reverse sweep over Team Falcons, ending their regular season campaign as the top two seed.

Aurora met a rough start in the series, with Team Falcons picking Esmeralda to dismantle their shield-powered composition of Paquito, Mathilda, Zhuxin, and Harith.

David “FlapTzy” Canon on Esmeralda stood out with a 4-3-4 KDA.

The second game saw a different story as Aurora pushed Team Falcons against the wall, taking a tight grip of their momentum from early game to late game.

A wipeout and lord take at a 13-minute period was the turning point Aurora needed to tie the series at 1-1 against Team Falcons.

Demonkite on Suyou slashed his way through and led Aurora’s charge with an excellent 7-1-4 KDA.

In game three, Team Falcons made valiant efforts to ultimately take the series, but Aurora was determined more than ever to end their season on a high note.

Aurora took advantage of outnumbered Team Falcons, relentlessly surging forward as the last turret stood guarded by just two Falcons.

Edward “Edward” Dapadap earned the MVP citation with a 6-1-10 KDA.
