AURORA GAMING eliminated Turkish representatives ULFHEDNAR with a decisive 2-0 sweep to stay alive at the M6 World Championship Swiss Stage at the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center on Saturday.

The Turkish contenders came off blazing during the first turtle objective contention, running down and eliminating four members of Aurora in the middle lane during the 1st Game of the series, but Aurora took one step at a time in securing objectives and taking map control. Their mastery of the game's macro mechanics overwhelmed the Turkish squad as the game went on.

Eventually Jan Dominic “Domeng” Delmundo, playing as Bruno, stole the spotlight with a game-winning maniac kill score during the 14-minute mark base siege.

Aurora crafted a crowd-control-centric lineup in game two, aiming to increase their chances of forcing ULFHEDNAR into penalty zones.

From early game to late game, Aurora played with discipline to avoid mistakes that could hand victory to ULFHEDNAR.

Shining bright on their first M6 win

The Northern Lights' resurgence can be attributed to the team's close bond with Blacklist International which Coach Aniel "Master The Basics" Jiandani revealed during the post-match interview.

"I want to thank coach BON [CHAN] because we had a scrim yesterday and they really helped up on our preparation for ULF[HEDNAR]," he said.

In addition, the rest they had gave the team a window to reflect on their previous mishaps.

"Aside from that, the rest yesterday was really a big help for us so that we can think what we needed to do. That is why we were able to show our game today," added Master the Basics.

Aurora advances to the fourth round of the M6 Swiss Stage, but their next opponent is yet to be determined on the next draw. The pressure is on for them to win the rest of their matches, otherwise their M6 journey ends.
