The reigning world champion enters the series carrying a troubling four-match losing streak that started in Week 5. Now sitting in sixth place with a 3-8 record, the Northern Lights are dangerously close to elimination, with virtually no room for error for their remaining games if they want to stay alive for the playoffs.
With every defeat, the pressure on Aurora only grows heavier. Once kings of the world, they now find themselves searching for the same championship form that placed them at the top of the world.
Waiting for Aurora, however, is an ONIC PH squad that continues to gain momentum in the final stretch of the regular season.
The Super Family currently holds the No. 3 spot with a 6-4 standing and inches closer to securing a playoff berth. Riding on growing confidence and consistency, ONIC looks poised to assert its dominance after sweeping Aurora during the first-round meeting back in Week 3.
That victory served as a statement for ONIC, proving that the Super Family could go toe-to-toe with, and even overwhelm, the current world champion.
