MANILA, PHILIPPINES - Bren Esports, a legacy in Philippine esports and gaming, is now owned and managed by Aces Pro Corp (AP) under the name AP Bren. Being the first Philippine team to win the M-series in Mobile Legends Professional League in 2021 and bagged the Gold medal for Mobile Legends in the recent 2023 Southeast Asian Games under the SIBOL Men's National Team, the Philippine esports icon is here to prove that it can definitely go further.

At the helm of Aces Pro Corp. is Jean Alphonse "AJ" Ponce, an entrepreneur and Provincial Board Member of the 1st District Province of Cagayan. As an avid esprots fan himself, Ponce has established multiple brands like 'Tambay TV League' and amateur ML Teams under AP Esports. Besides esports, he also has a diverse portfolio spanning agriculture and real estate.

Aces Pro Corp., one of the emerging organizations in the esports industry, aims to cultivate the next generation of esports superstars by implementing comprehensive training programs and operational best practices.

"The rebrand enables the team to move forward from the organizational challenges of 2023 and perform significantly better through the infusion of more resources for recruitment and player development. The Bren brand is well-loved and it has proven itself in multiple leagues. While there is no shortage of raw talent in its roster, my hope is that our leadership can help propel them to go ever upward," says Ponce.

Ponce's operations is backed by esports leaders: Leo "Jab" Escutin, who has been Bren's Chief Operating Officer since 2016, Jeff Victoriano, Operations Manager since 2018, and Francis Glindro, coach since 2019.

AP Esports historically has been renowned for developing up-and-coming talent as seen with the likes of ECHO PH's Alston "Sanji" Pabico, Burn X Flash's Mariusz "Donut" Tan, Blacklist's John "Super Red" Bordeos, and Team Outplay's Rainiel "URESHII" Logronio.

Prior to Ponce's arrival Bren Esports was under Bernard “Bren” Chong, who was allegedly involved in a botched drug smuggling activity. A manhunt was then issued by the NBI. Eventually, the charges against him were cleared.

AP Bren now is setting The Hive abuzz in search of aspiring players to deepen the roster currently composed of Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel, David "FlapTzy" Canon, Marco "SUPER MARCO" Requitano, Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo, Michael "KyleTzy" Sayson, and Vincent "Pandora" Unigo.
