Right after being hailed as the new queens of MLBB and bringing honor to the country, the Empress are now aiming for greater heights, planning for their future beyond MLBB.

What will the Empress do with the prize money?
Taking home a staggering lion’s share of $180,000, or P10 million, each Omega Empress player intends to make wise use of their well-deserved winnings.
Omega Empress’ standout gold laner and MWI 2024 Finals MVP, Sheen "Shinoa" Perez, took home an extra $50,000, or P2.8 million, and set her sights on making a real estate investment and venturing into an agriculture-based business.
“Planning po na bumili ng lupa tapos nakapag isip na rin ako ng business or magra-rice business po ako,” Shinoa revealed.
Middle laner Rica "Amoree" Amores intends to set aside half of her earnings to support her household, but she seeks guidance from her family on financial matters since her other plans remain uncertain at this time.
“50 percent ng matatanggap ko po is pang tulong ko sa bahay namin. Tapos ‘yung remaining naman po is i-invest ko. ‘Di ko pa po naiisip, nag papatulong pa ako sa family ko,” Amoree said.
On the other hand, Kaye "Keishi" Alpuerto has a clear vision and shares the same aspiration of providing her loved ones with a better home and livelihood.
“Yung business namin ni mama na meat shop tapos may karinderya din siya. Tapos, yung remaining balance naman iipon ko tapos yung iba tutulong din ako sa [pag pagawa] ng bahay,” Keishi expressed, aiming to lend a hand to her mother’s business.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth "Ayanami" Diagon carefully considers where to allocate her earnings, recognizing the need to be educated on financial matters before making big decisions.
“Majority is ise-save and kung may matititra, tutulong sa renovation ng house. Mag-a-attend ng seminars on financial things like stocks and all [those] things. Right now, parang medyo magulo pa kasi talaga ‘yung nangyayari. So I might just save pa and attend seminars kung saan magandang i-invest kasi mahirap magsabi kung wala pa akong alam,” Ayanami explained.

The importance of financial literacy
There's no denying that a professional athlete's career is short, hence the need to promote financial literacy to those who pursue this career path.
And that is exactly why Smart Omega's Chief Marketing Officer, Froi Endaya, has been adamant on educating his players.
"Napansin ko din dito sa esports industry, kailangan pa natin mas i-educate lalo na yung mga young professionals on financial literacy. I think that's a very big factor for the success of these people," he said in a press conference.
"Maraming ganyan hindi lang sa esports, na once they get the paycheck, they spend it on cars, jewelry, etc. Sabi namin, be smart about it."
Under the guidance of Sir Froi, the Empress has proven that they aren't just role models inside the Land of Dawn, but also in real life.
