The day has finally come for the world-class gold laners Duane “Kelra” Pillas and Sultan "Aeronnshikii" Muhammad to duke it out on the world stage and prove who has better marksmanship.
Tracing the history of their rivalry, Aeronnshikii has been looking forward to dueling Kelra on the world stage since the MPL Indonesia Season 14 playoffs.
But Kelra was unfazed with the new rival posing a challenge to cementing his status among the top gold laners in the world.
“Aeronnshikii will have 7 deaths in my lane,” Kelra said.
With their paths crossing today, Fnatic ONIC Philippines pulled off a lopsided 15-5 score against Team Liquid ID and finished the match even before the timer hit the 12-minute mark.
The last laugh goes to Kelra
Kelra and Aeronnshikii set the gold lane ablaze with their showdown, but the Filipino gold standard had the last laugh.
Kelra on Bruno delivered a flawless 5-0-6 KDA, while Aeronnshikii on Natan only delivered a 1-4-1 KDA.
With the results of today’s battle at the Land of Dawn between Fnatic ONIC Philippines and Team Liquid ID, Kelra spewed a few words to his newfound rival Aeronnshikii.
The Gold Standard screamed at the top of his lungs directly at Team Liquid ID. As to why? He revealed: “Yung sa game, normal talaga na mainit eh. Sa labas ng game, ganon talaga ako eh. Lalo na kapag hinahamon ako, talagang nag-init ako."
Then during the interview with Rose Kelra coldly said: “Alam mo na kung sino ako."
Meanwhile, Aeronnshikii remained graceful in defeat and even praised Kelra’s performance.
“Kelra is better than me,” Aeronnshikii admitted.
In response, Kelra said: "Siguro, medyo malapit lang siya (Aeronnshikii) sa akin nang kaunti. Mas matindi lang ako sa kanya nang kaunti."
Eventually he dug deep into his playstyle saying: “Na-meet niya kasi ‘yun na yung pinaka-ineexpect ko. Masasabi ko kay AeronnShikii ay medyo marunong naman siya, pero yung expectation ko talaga, ganon lang din kung ano yung pinakita nila kanina,” Kelra said during the post-match interview.
