    9 Filipino CODM teams qualify for Garena Masters Season 2

    NINE Filipino CODM teams have successfully qualified for the CODM Garena Masters Season 2 after getting past in each of their respective brackets in the recently concluded Philipines Qualifiers.

    C8 Stealth, LF Organization, Mamba Corinthians, C8 Jeux, Tyrant Esports, C8 Legacy, VI T2P, C8 United, and Warlord Esports Destra finished first, second, and third in their bracket to secure their slots in the tournament. They will now join other PH teams Blacklist Ultimate, Smart Omega, and Mamba LowKings, who scored outright invitations thanks to their finish in Garena Masters Season 1.


      Undermanned C8 Stealth wins Bracket #1

      With all eyes on Benjamin “Crush” Trinidad’s newly formed team LF Organization, C8 Esports’ C8 Stealth swept right in and took the spotlight for themselves as they beat Crush’s team twice to secure the top seed of Bracket #1. C8 Stealth did it in style too, as they remained the only undefeated team in the bracket. Mamba Corinthians rounded up the bracket’s top three as they defeated Tyrant Royalty.

      C8 Jeux conquers “Bracket of Death”

      In what was regarded as the bracket of death, top teams Tyrant, VVV, J1, Ultimate, C8 and Sovereign went at each other in an only-the-best survive situation. After the dust had settled, C8 Esports’ C8 Jeux came out unscathed, claiming the top seed. The team finished an impressive 6-0 record to bring another win to C8. Meanwhile, Garena Youth Challengers champions Tyrant Esports came in second after beating another C8 team, C8 Legacy, in their lower bracket run.

      VI T2P plays spoiler role en route to Bracket #3’s top seed

      Underrated rising team VI T2P played the role of spoiler to deny C8 Esports to win all three brackets as they defeated C8 United 2-1 in the championship game of Bracket #3. The relatively unknown team sustained their lower bracket run up until the finals, defeating the likes of Warlord Esports Destra and vVv Limitless along the way.

      The tournament’s second iteration will have a $25,000 prize pool, just like the first season, with the champion receiving the lion’s share of $10,000, or approximately P500,000.
