WITH THE MDL Philippines making its official debut on February 15, comes the announcement about which teams will end up competing.
In the league's official Facebook page, 10 teams were revealed.
Each of the main MPL-PH teams all have their respective amateur teams: Blacklist Academy, ECHO PH, Nexplay Tiger Cubs, Omega Neos, Bren Esports X Euphoria, Onic Arsenals, RSG PH, and TNC Neo.
In addition, two new teams were unveiled as GameLab and ZOL Esports will also make their MDL debut. The former made headlines during the Sibol qualifiers, with the team reaching the finals, while the latter is boosting up their ranks with MPL talent with the acquisitions of Joshwell Christian "Iy4knu" Manaog, Allan "Lusty" Castromayor Jr., Jeff "S4gitnu" Subang, and Carlito "Ribo" Ribo Jr.
With their arrival, the team achieved a top four finish in the group B bracket in the Kings League.
Who is in the MDL?
Bren Esports' partnership with Euphoria could also shed some glimpse about their line up for Season 1.
Euphoria boasts a talented squad that made it to the finals of the Kings League, only for them to stumble to Gamelab's might in a 5-game slugfest.
Meanwhile, the other teams rosters remain a mystery.
Blacklist might feature the likes of Kyle Dominic "Dominic" Soto and Lee Howard "Owl" Gonzales who were part of the Sibol squad that won the gold medal. Onic PH, meanwhile, shared a video from Lazy Esports Pro which could mean a potential alliance between these two orgs.
Then there's Nexplay who could acquire the services from AP Esports.
With so much talent in the amateur scene, it would be interesting to see how the final rosters will shake up. Will Gamelab's rise continue? Will the veterans from ZOL make their MPL return? The action begins on February 15.
