DESPITE RSG falling to defending champions Team Liquid ECHO last Saturday, coach Brian “Panda” Changrok embraced defeat with optimism while acknowledging the professional growth that 1rrad honed during his time with RRQ.
With his return to the RSG Philippines for the MPL Philippines Season 14, 1rrad takes over the jungler role from the former RSG’s Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto, who moved to Aurora Gaming, but he’s no longer the same player who departed back then.
“Kasi nung [Season] 12, when we said that we want to make [him] the best player that time. Alam ko naman ano ‘yung condition to make him the best player that time. Number one is experience; number two is maturity. Pero that time, he had the mechanical skills, but I didn’t feel the maturity, sa loob niya,” coach Panda said, recalling 1rrad's rookie years.

How 1rrad's RRQ experience shaped his mentality
Looking back, RSG Philippines officially welcomed 1rrad into their roster during MPL Philippines Season 10. After two seasons, his decision to step out of his comfort zone and join RRQ for MPL Indonesia Season 13 paid off to becoming a refined esports professional.
“Nagulat ako na he came back much more matured. Kasi sometimes, you cannot teach maturity, it’s a life lesson that you learn from yourself. He learned that sa RRQ. He got the maturity na and he got the mechanical skills na,” coach Panda pointed out 1rrad’s change for the better.
“Ako kasi last time, sobrang iyakin ko na ang dali kong asarin. Hindi na rin kami nagkakaroon ng argument ni coach [Panda] puro healthy argument nalang about sa games,” 1rrad revealed on fostering healthy competition among the team.
“All I need to teach him is experience and then I’ll do my best to coach him to be the best player,” said coach Panda, reassuring 1rrad’s guidance in RSG quest to reclaim the title in MPL Philippines Season 14.
