Butch Ramirez assures PSC efforts won’t fizzle out: ‘Hindi na ito ningas kugon’

    Jul 10, 2017

PHILIPPINE Sports Commission chairman William Ramirez assured that sports plans and current programs such as the Sports Institute will be fully implemented and sustained, confident that it won’t suffer the fate of earlier concepts that fell through.

A nationwide talent identification has been launched, plans have been made to refurbish existing facilities and P100 million worth of sports medicine equipment were ordered two months ago.

“No, hindi na ito ningas kugon as what had happened before in the previous attempts to set up similar schemes,” Ramirez asserted.

“This is what our President wants us to do so we might as well make good its implementation as mandated us by RA 6847 (PSC Law).”

The PSC had earlier dispatched a 50-man group of sports instructors the provinces to coordinate with Local Government Units, provincial sports leaders and all stakeholders on a weekly basis.
