THE Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) welcomes the plans of other National Sports Association (NSA) heads to oppose the reelection bid of incumbent Jose `Peping’ Cojuangco in the November polls.
“It’s up to them if they want to run (for POC president) as long as they are qualified. Wala namang pumipigil sa kanila,” said POC spokesperson Joey Romasanta.
The POC statement came a day after athletics president Go Teng Kok declared his intention to run against Cojuangco in his bid for a third straight term.
Go had two earlier failed bids for the POC presidency against Cristy Ramos and Celso Dayrit.
