The Shopwise Bike Fest is generating tremendous excitement, attracting over 2,000 eager participants a full eight days ahead of its debut on May 19 at Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus City, Cavite.
This remarkable turnout underscores the strong enthusiasm and robust support from cyclists of diverse backgrounds, all rallying behind the noble cause of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
The event features various divisions tailored to accommodate riders of all skill levels and preferences, with the majority of registrants competing in the 30km, 45km, and 60km individual and corporate Open divisions.
Moreover, the inclusion of categories catering to young riders aged 2 to 15 reflects a concerted effort to instill a love for cycling from an early age, ensuring inclusivity for all.

To enhance the event's excitement, an immersive expo will be held at the Ayala Mall Circuit, Activity Center in Makati from May 15 to 17, where participants can collect their ride kits, complete with an exclusive Shopwise bike jersey and participation bib.
Mayor Alex Advincula has reiterated the city's commitment to supporting the event's success, with Vermosa establishing itself as a premier venue following its recent hosting of Cycle PH for the second consecutive year.
On race day, assembly begins at 5 a.m., with the 60km ride commencing at 5:25 a.m., followed by subsequent waves for different categories. The event culminates in rides for kids, including a 500-meter tricycle ride for 4-5-year-olds.
In an effort to ensure a seamless cycling experience, designated roads will be closed throughout the event, courtesy of the organizing IRONMAN Group. This collaborative effort aims to accommodate various bike types and foster camaraderie among Filipino families.
However, certain bike types, such as fixies and e-bikes, are excluded from participation to prioritize safety and fairness for all participants.
