Jan Paul Morales eyes back-to-back cycling titles in Saipan.

JAN Paul Morales returns to Saipan to defend his title as the 11th Hell of the Marianas cycling race fires off on Dec. 2.

The Philippine Navy-Standard Insurance rider ruled the 100-kilometer road race in his first try last year, surviving an early crash when he tried to avoid hitting a car on Suicide Cliff.

Also seeing action are former Tour Pilipinas champion Mark Galedo and former European pro rider Paolo Caputo of Italy, who now represents Hong Kong.

Morales and Galedo will be joined by five other cyclists from three different Philippine-based teams.

Viel Carino will ride with Galedo at 7 Eleven along with teammate Daisuke Kaneko of Japan, while El Joshua Carino and Ronald Lomotos will team up with Morales under Philippine Navy-Standard Insurance.

Lloyd Lucien Reynante and Angelico Ochoa represent Team XTREME.

The 42-year-old Caputo came out of retirement and now resides in Hong Kong, which he also represents in several local and international races.

Caputo will be joined by Hong Kong national riders Chi Ho Yuen and Bryan Kai Chun Wong, and two-time female Olympian Jamie Wong, Sing Lam Wan, Tsun Hin Chiu, Chris Lee, female rider Chau Yu Ng, Bryan Wong.
