BALANGA, Bataan — Former Le Tour de Filipinas champion Ghader Mizbani of Iran is out of the sixth edition of the four-stage international race after failing to show up at the start line for Stage Two to Iba, Zambales.
Tournament commissaires comfirmed the huge development, saying the 2013 champion incurred a DNS (did not start) after being sidelined by a bum stomach.
Mark Galedo, the defending champion, earlier said he remained on the lookout for the formidable Iranians, who haven't made their presence felt in Stage One.
Mizbani finished the opening leg for Tabriz Petrochemical in 34th spot, clocking three hours, 19 minutes, and 29 seconds.
