LOUE Jane Remojo and Rita Alexis Cuadra bagged gold medals in the Thailand Open karatedo championship in Bangkok.

Remojo claimed the gold medal in the kata 15-16 year old female kata division, while Cuadra annexed the kumite girls cadet -43kg class in the three-day competition that saw the Philippines also win two silver and seven bronze medals.

Cuadra, coming off a gold medal performance in the Vietnam Open last month, improved on her bronze-medal finish in last year’s Thailand Open

Winning silver medals were Cherry Rodriguez (15-to-16 kata) and Michael John Badil (-75kg kumite), while bronze winners were Margarette Abba (10-11 kata), Enrich Napa (10-11 boys), Jaime Villegas Jr. (kata), Crystal Beldas (kumite girls junior -47kg), and Bryan Fontillas (kumite +84kg).
